QuiqSilver International was founded by Colby Buchanan who noticed the growing number of servers at restaurants becoming frustrated with the tedious, low-wage tasks of rolling silverware at the end of long shifts. What’s worse, he also noticed the disgruntled behavior these servers were having were impacting sales and costing the restaurant owners more in labor costs and decreased productivity. This is when a light bulb went off in Colby’s mind. What if he could develop a machine that rolled silverware in a fraction of the time that the servers could? How would that impact productivity, sales and even hygiene? -This led to the idea of Quiqsilver, the fastest silverware wrapper in the market today. Thus, what started as a solution to end the “rat wheel” of complaints evolved into a vision to create a safer dining experience for guests at hotels, restaurants, airports, casinos, cruise ships, military bases, retirement homes, cafeterias, residential recovery homes and even hospitals world-wide.
